All of our sessions are full day courses giving instruction in Fly Fishing for Trout, promoting healthy outdoor exercise and a caring attitude towards wildlife and the environment.
Suitable for beginners and improvers interested in trout fishing. A fun, informative day for all the family giving everyone the confidence to fish by themselves.

@ Meon Springs
Renowned as one of the South’s premier stillwater trout fisheries and set amidst breathtaking scenery, Meon Springs is the perfect setting to learn.

Sunday 26th April
@ Testside Lake
Testside Lake was formerly the home of Spedan Lewis' collection of wildfowl, in 1997 it was excavated and turned into two Lakes that make up the Fishery. It is stocked with both Rainbow and Brown Trout up to double figures.

@ Damerham
Damerham Fishery, home of the legendary ‘Damerham Blue Trout’, is set alongside the Allen River chalk stream in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Hampshire countryside.

@ Holbury Lakes
Holbury Lakes fishery is in a secluded, tranquil setting where the River Dun winds between four lakes. Each lake has its own characteristics and offers great scope, and so the fly fishing is always exciting.

@ Keepers Creek
Situated in the lovely village of Arlesford. The main lake which is approximately three acres in size, is stocked with rainbow and brown trout ranging in sizes upwards of 2lbs. The lake has a good flow of water through it.

Sunday 8th November @ Wherwell Lake
This beautiful, secluded lake is stocked with rainbow trout. Fed by the fabled River Test, gin clear waters await fly fishers with open arms.

What will my day look like?
Our courses are open to adults, families and juniors 10-16 years of age.
Juniors fly fishers aged 8-9 years are encouraged, when accompanied by an adult.

We provide all the fishing equipment you will need for the day!
Course content
- Fly Fishing health and safety considerations,
- Fly Fishing Tackle choice and set up,
- Fly Casting instruction.
- An introduction to Fly Dressing - Tie your own fly!,
- Fresh water entomology and invertebrate recognition,
- Developing watercraft skills and bankside etiquette.
- Conservation and environmental considerations
- Hopefully hook, play and land a fish
Not forgetting - Free fishing time and an ongoing Casting Clinic.
How much does a course cost?
- Adult £50 per person
- Junior (16 and under) £30 per person
- Adult & Junior £65
