Our first event of 2026 was hosted at the unbeatable Meon Springs Trout Fishery in Hampshire.

Twelve participants attended and were greeted by unsettled weather and eager instructors.  

Our guests spent the day learning how to cast a fly, how to catch a trout, basic entomology, how to prepare a trout for eating and even had a go at fly tying.

Fish were caught, new skills learnt and big smiles were evident through out the day.

A special mention must go to our fantastic event organiser Richard Leamon and of course all the instructors who give up their valuable time.
